A key guard is the image that shows when your Sidekick Slide has the screen locked. If the theme you downloaded has a keyguard image in it, you may have to set it manually.
1. Open the extracted theme on your desktop and find the keyguard image.
2. Copy the keyguard image to the DCIM folder on your memory card in your Sidekick Slide.
3. From the jump screen on your Sidekick Slide, go to Menu -> Settings -> Key Guard & Security.
4. Click on the image and then the "mountain" picture to select an image from your photo gallery.
5. If you copied the keyguard image to the right place under the DCIM folder, you should see it in your Albums. Click it to set it as the key guard.
If a theme has a custom keyguard set, but it is not showing, set your Sidekick Slide's keyguard to the default one through Settings->Key Guard & Security. Then reboot your device by pressing 1+@+0 (the 1 key, the 0 key, and the @ symbol by the spacebar at the same time)
If you aren't familiar with RSS feeds, we recommend you watch this video. You can subscribe to RSS feeds using your Sidekick with the MyNewsRoom application available in the catalog. Here are the available feeds:
* http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed (retrieves the most recent themes)
* http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed/artist/artistname (retrieves the most recent themes uploaded by "artistname")
* http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed/category/10 (retrieves the most recent themes uploaded to a certain category. The category number can be found by clicking on the category on the main page and looking at the URL. This example grabs themes from the "Music" category)
You fake it! You can use the screen shot simulator Photoshop files that silversidekick and fatb0yslim33 put together to make a "screenshot" that looks like it was taken on the device. You can download these files from the Theme Simulator page. Thanks guys!
