  • How do I load themes on my Sidekick Slide?
The instructions below will walk you through it

    I'm using Windows XP
    I'm using Windows Vista
    I'm using OS X

Why does the theme not download when I click the download button?
In some cases, you may be required to login in order to download themes. For most people logging in is not necessary. In order to provide an accurate download and vote count for each theme and prevent people from directly linking to the theme files, we have put certain measures in place. Sometimes based on your machine configuration, it may be necessary to log in.

What do the symbols mean on the theme description?
    - Custom Key Guard
    - Custom Hinge Sounds
    - Custom Bubbles
    - Custom Icons for AIM, Applications, Organizer, etc.

Why doesn't the custom keyguard show up?
If a theme has a custom keyguard set, but it is not showing, set your Sidekick Slide's keyguard to the default one through Settings->Key Guard & Security. Then reboot your device by pressing 1+@+0 (the 1 key, the 0 key, and the @ symbol by the spacebar at the same time)

How do I subscribe to the RSS feeds?
If you aren't familiar with RSS feeds, we recommend you watch this video. You can subscribe to RSS feeds using your Sidekick with the MyNewsRoom application available in the catalog. Here are the available feeds:
    * http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed (retrieves the most recent themes)
    * http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed/artist/artistname (retrieves the most recent themes uploaded by "artistname")
    * http://www.skslidethemes.com/feed/category/10 (retrieves the most recent themes uploaded to a certain category. The category number can be found by clicking on the category on the main page and looking at the URL. This example grabs themes from the "Music" category)

How do I create semi-transparent bubbles for my own themes?
If you're trying to make your own bubbles for a theme and you want to have them be transparent, check out prash's video tutorial:

How do I create hinge sounds on OS X?
Alex Silver was awesome enough to put together a tutorial video to help teach everyone how to make hinge sounds on OS X.

How do I take screenshots if I don't have a specific device?
You fake it! You can use the screen shot simulator Photoshop files that silversidekick and fatb0yslim33 put together to make a "screenshot" that looks like it was taken on the device. You can download these files from the Theme Simulator page. Thanks guys!
